Hi Mel, its so hard when the RA is not under control. Like you mine isnt, and although I have been told in a private consultation that with the right meds I can continue working, my GP and the rheumy clinic have suggested stopping. At the moment its my life line, doing something "normal" thats all we want really isnt it? to be normal!!! Keep remembering, it will get better, and all of us are thinking of you, you cann always ring the helpline for some support and advice, wishing you well, Barb xSad

Hi Mel,

As you can see, we all relate to how you are feeling. I hope that today you have got your fighting spirit back as that is really all there is to do. Perhaps Jenni would lend you her red boots although she is using them daily herself at the moment. Get angry at this dashed condition and don't let it beat you! We are on your side.

Thank you all so much
Just being able to tell you all how I felt made me feel better. When you are with your family you tend to always make out you
are better then you are so it is good to get it off my chest.
thankyou all

Love Melanie

Hi Mel,

I think you said it for all of us. After 18months feeling like that I have had a really good few days, thanks to a really good response to prednisolone. I know it is short term and hopefully Humira will work long term, but it has reminded me that there maybe life at the end of the tunnel and I'll remember that however bad the days, it is possible to have good days too.

I do hope there is a light for you too, soon

love from Alison xx

Hi mel

I'm sorry you're feeling low, I think it affects all of us in this way at some stage. It's hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel when you're in lots of pain, but I'm sure the day will come when you'll find that you have some relief from the pain. It does take time to get the right meds sorted, but once that is done, you'll be able to see an improvement.

We are always here to "listen" and help if we can, so never think you're alone.

Lyn
